Windows 7: Authentec Drivers. Page 10 of 19. I just upgraded to Windows 7 on my notebook and installed latest version of authentec fingerprint drivers. After installation, I notice that there is TrueSuite 2.0 fingerprint software included with the drivers, which is made by authentec also, and it can read fingerprints fine and log me into. Found that Win 10 will happily talk to AuthenTec fingerprint reader using the carried over Win7 fingerprint reader driver ver1.6.2.352 but that alone will not get power on by fingerprint working. Therefore yesterday installed Thinkvantage Fingerprint Software for 64Bit Windows 8.1 (g1f914ww_64.exe) resulting in version 6.0.0.8102 installed on. Sager NP8290 AuthenTec Fingerprint Driver 1.6.1.341 2016-11-07 It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available. Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver.

The issue might be due to an application in-compatibility to run on Windows 10 Technical Preview. Install the software using the compatibility mode and check if that helps.
